Opening of the 2013 National Amateur Dance Festival
On the evening of June 15, in Tay Ninh province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province to organize the opening ceremony of the 2013 National Amateur Dance Festival.

Participating in this festival are nearly 500 actors and musicians from 18 non-professional dance troupes from the provinces and cities of Son La, Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Bac Kan, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Dac Nong, Tuyen Quang, Ha Tinh, Ha Giang, Binh Phuoc, Dong Thap, Binh Duong, Long An, Bac Lieu and Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the purpose of the festival is to create conditions for art troupes to exchange, learn experiences, develop talents in the art of dance, thereby creating a core in the local cultural and artistic movement.
The national amateur dance festival takes place from June 15-18 with folk dance performances praising patriotism and national spirit; introducing unique cultural characteristics of each region and locality of the country./.
