Opening Ceremony of the 2013 National Amateur Dance Festival
On the evening of June 15th, in Tay Ninh province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, organized the opening ceremony of the 2013 National Amateur Dance Festival.

Nearly 500 actors and musicians from 18 amateur dance troupes from provinces and cities including Son La, Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Bac Kan, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Dak Nong, Tuyen Quang, Ha Tinh, Ha Giang, Binh Phuoc, Dong Thap, Binh Duong, Long An, Bac Lieu, and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture participated in this festival.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the purpose of the festival is to create opportunities for art troupes to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and develop talents in the art of dance, thereby creating a core for the cultural and artistic movement in the locality.
The National Amateur Dance Festival took place from June 15-18, featuring folk dances that celebrated patriotism and national pride, and showcased the unique cultural characteristics of each region and locality across the country.
