Opening of the Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups in Tuong Duong District
(Baonghean.vn) -Practically celebrating the Vietnam Ethnic Minority Culture Day (April 19), this morning, April 18, Tuong Duong district (Nghe An) opened the first Ethnic Minority Culture Festival.
This is an activity to honor traditional cultural values, raise awareness of preserving cultural identity, promote the spirit of solidarity and determination to build an increasingly rich homeland of the ethnic groups in the area (including Thai, Kho Mu, Mong, Kinh, Tay Poong, O Du).
The program took place over 2 days (April 18 and 19) including: mass art performances, national costume demonstrations and sports competitions: volleyball (men and women), chess, crossbow shooting, stilt walking, throwing balls, pushing sticks, tug of war, attracting more than 300 mass actors, artisans and outstanding athletes from communes and towns.
