AWAKENING THE WILL AND DESIRE TO RISE UP IN YOUTH ABOVE

Nghe An youth currently has nearly 1 million people, accounting for about 30% of the province's population, of which the number of union members is nearly 150,000 people. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province has 35 district-level affiliated units.

The 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province is a major political event for the youth, marking an important turning point in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.

With the slogan of action: "Nghe An youth learn and follow Uncle Ho's teachings; Solidarity - Courage - Initiative - Creativity - Development", the Congress determined the goal: "Promoting the historical tradition, culture, and people of Nghe An, nurturing the young generation of Nghe An province to develop comprehensively; building a strong Youth Union organization; strongly arousing the will, courage, revolutionary spirit, self-reliance and aspirations of union members and youth; solidarity, courage, initiative, creativity, acting together, contributing worthily to the successful implementation of the goal of developing Nghe An to become a well-off province of the whole country".

Looking back over the past 5 years, the youth of Nghe An province have closely followed the direction of the Central Youth Union Secretariat and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, closely followed the practical situation in the locality, competed to effectively implement the three major revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union including "Youth Volunteers", "Creative Youth", "Youth Volunteers to Protect the Fatherland" and three accompanying programs including "Accompanying youth in studying", "Accompanying youth in starting a business", "Accompanying youth in training and developing life skills, improving physical fitness, cultural and spiritual life".

The Congress seriously evaluated the results of the Youth Union and youth movement during the 2017-2022 term; discussed enthusiastically and democratically, comprehensively analyzed the results achieved in all fields; frankly pointed out the shortcomings, limitations, causes and drew valuable lessons; determined the goals, directions and tasks of the new term with 4 groups of breakthrough tasks, 12 key targets and 6 key projects.

BUILDING A MODEL OF CIVILIZED, MODERN, AND HONEST NGHE AN YOUTHLOVE

At the solemn forum of the province's youth, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy gave an important speech directing the Congress; accordingly, looking back on the past 5 years, it can be seen that the Youth Union and Youth Union members of Nghe An province have upheld the revolutionary tradition, promoted youth, intelligence and enthusiasm, achieved many important results, left many good marks in society, and contributed positively to the development of the province.

Through revolutionary action movements, the Youth Union organization has been increasingly consolidated and developed; many typical examples of Nghe An youth in various fields have been honored; nearly 19,000 outstanding members have been admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam; the contingent of Youth Union cadres at all levels has grown steadily.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy warmly congratulated and commended the efforts, attempts and outstanding achievements that the cadres, union members and youth of the province have achieved in the past term.

The next five years will be the period when our province will concentrate its resources to achieve the development goal of "becoming a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2025, and a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2030". The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: This requires high demands and great efforts from all levels, sectors, and people, including the Youth Union and its members. The Youth Union's movements must constantly innovate, be creative, be sensitive, and adaptable to both meet the legitimate demands of the youth and effectively contribute to the overall development of the province.

On that basis, the head of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized and suggested a number of issues for the Congress to continue discussing, considering and deciding; in particular, the Youth Union must constantly innovate and improve the effectiveness of its propaganda and education work to orient, support and help Nghe An youth to identify and steadfastly pursue noble ideals and ways of life; gradually build a model of Nghe An youth in the new era in the direction of civilization, modernity and humanity.

Along with that, Nghe An youth should pioneer in the digital transformation revolution in the province - one of the tasks and solutions that the province has identified as revolutionary towards implementing the comprehensive goals according to the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

Deploying the movement of cadres, union members, and young civil servants of Nghe An to be exemplary and dedicated, saying no to negativity in performing public duties; researching and building a set of identifications on attitudes, behaviors, and actions of cadres, civil servants who are union members and young people in performing public duties, contributing to creating clear and substantial changes in the province's administrative reform.

The Youth Union at all levels needs to pay special attention to accompanying and supporting young people to improve their education, vocational training, job skills, labor skills, and industrial style to be ready to serve the development process of the province, meet the labor needs of investors, so that Nghe An youth do not have to leave their hometown to work abroad.

The Provincial Party Secretary also suggested that it is necessary to research and launch a foreign language learning movement throughout the Youth Union - one of the "golden keys" to open the door to success in the 4.0 digital era. On the other hand, each Youth Union official must constantly strive to improve their qualifications and professional skills, and maintain their image, character, and ethics.

Consistently implementing the viewpoint of "Building a strong Youth Union is building the Party one step ahead", the Provincial Party Secretary requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to continue to pay attention, trust, encourage and create favorable conditions for Youth Union organizations and youth union members to participate in local political, economic and social tasks; have specific plans, regularly review, supplement planning, train and foster Youth Union cadres.

On behalf of the Central Youth Union Secretariat, giving a speech directing the Congress, comrade Ngo Van Cuong - Secretary of the Central Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh gave a speech directing the Congress assessing the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in the whole province that have had new developments, affirming the role of guiding, leading and organizing the revolutionary action movement of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, joining hands with young people to build a rich and civilized homeland of Nghe An.

Comrade Ngo Van Cuong acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Youth Union and youth movement of Nghe An province in the past term; at the same time, he discussed a number of issues for the Congress to discuss and determine solutions for implementation.

First of all, the Youth Union at all levels needs to pay special attention to propaganda and education work, arousing pride, love, responsibility, and aspiration to contribute among young people in realizing the "Lam River aspiration".

In implementing movements, it is necessary to establish specific, creative and feasible solutions; always be ready to volunteer to take on new and difficult tasks assigned by higher-level Party committees and unions; pay attention to developing high-quality resources and taking the lead in implementing socio-economic development goals.

The Youth Union needs to implement many solutions to help young people improve their knowledge, practice, improve their professional qualifications, master science and technology, and work skills in an internationally integrated environment; strongly, resolutely and quickly implement digital transformation solutions at work; promote propaganda work, promote the role and responsibility of being a bridge to support and accompany young people in finding jobs.

In addition, the Youth Union needs to focus on implementing solutions to build a strong Youth Union in terms of ideology, politics, organization and action, worthy of being a reliable reserve force of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Implement well the breakthrough set forth by the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Congress, which is "Improving the quality and standards of Youth Union cadres at all levels to meet the requirements of the task".

Seriously and effectively carry out the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against and refuting the distorted arguments of hostile forces with the motto "Correct perception, sufficient information, quick action, strong connection, wide spread".

“We expect the Youth Union and young people of Nghe An province in the coming term to have new innovations, propose many good models and new ways for the youth movement nationwide and believe that the union members and young people of the province will continue to promote the fine traditions of their homeland, bring all the enthusiasm and creativity of youth, proactively and voluntarily complete the programs and goals set by the Congress,” said Secretary of the Central Youth Union Ngo Van Cuong.

At the solemn session, the Executive Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, term XVIII, 2022 - 2027, consisting of 49 comrades, introduced themselves to the Congress. Comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ngo Van Cuong - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, term XVIII.

On behalf of the 18th Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee, speaking at the acceptance of the mission, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Le Van Luong sincerely thanked the entire Congress for trusting and electing 49 comrades to the new Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee.

"We are deeply aware that this is an honor but also a great responsibility before the Party Committee, government, Youth Union chapters at all levels and all Youth Union members in the province," the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union expressed.

To be worthy of the trust of the Congress, comrade Le Van Luong affirmed that together with the comrades in the Executive Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, term XVIII, 2022 - 2027, he will strive, be a pioneer, be exemplary, be dedicated to work, and be determined to complete all assigned tasks; build a united, dynamic, proactive, creative, and innovative collective to continue to develop the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the province further, contributing to building Nghe An homeland to become increasingly prosperous and civilized.
