Opening of the exhibition and reading of the Year of the Horse Spring Newspaper

(Baonghean)On the morning of February 10th, at the Nghe An Provincial Library, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, and the Provincial Library jointly organized the opening ceremony of the exhibition and reading of spring newspapers. Attending the opening ceremony were leaders from provincial departments and agencies, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, and a large number of readers from Vinh City.

In addition to displaying over 200 types of newspapers and magazines from across the country, the event also features an exhibition room showcasing antiques and artifacts from the Song Lam Ancient Cultural Heritage Association; displays introducing new publications, books, local history books, and rare and valuable ancient documents from Nghe An province; the Nghe An Han Nom Club has a calligraphy writing table offering auspicious New Year greetings, wishing readers peace, good fortune, abundant blessings, prosperity, and success in business; the I Ching Club has a table for fortune telling and predicting future destinies in the new year; and in response to the movement leading up to Vietnam Poetry Day, on the occasion of the commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh's poem "Nguyen Tieu" on the 15th day of the first lunar month, the Nghe An Association of Literature and Arts, Poetry Committee, introduced the 5-year poetry anthology: Nghe An Poetry (2007-2012) with commentary from prominent writers and poets from Nghe An.

This is a useful annual activity that brings joy to many readers at the beginning of the new year.
