Opening of the exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh with the people of ethnic minorities"
The exhibition displays over 80 large-format documents and photographs, including a selection of valuable images.
On the occasion of the 123rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2013) and the 102nd anniversary of his departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2013), the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch has just opened a thematic exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh with the ethnic minorities of Vietnam".
The exhibition displays over 80 large-format documents and photographs, including valuable selected images such as: a photograph of President Ho Chi Minh giving gifts to elderly ethnic minorities living near the Apatite mine in Lao Cai (1958); President Ho Chi Minh visiting the highlanders in Pac Bo - Cao Bang after 20 years of separation (1961)... and some handwritten notes and letters of greetings to ethnic minorities throughout the country.

In addition, the thematic exhibition also features several articles by individuals and groups who won high prizes in the competition "Uncle Ho with ethnic minorities; ethnic minorities with beloved Uncle Ho". This thematic exhibition profoundly expresses Uncle Ho's affection for the people, highlighting President Ho Chi Minh's ideology of national unity in the revolutionary cause of national liberation, reunification of the country, and nation-building.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Xinh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum branch in Ho Chi Minh City, said: “In the coming time, we will continue to reorganize the exhibition and introduce modern equipment, such as animated images and touch screens, especially the thematic exhibition room on President Ho Chi Minh's affection for the South and the South's affection for President Ho Chi Minh. Because this room, as well as the unique feature of the Ho Chi Minh Museum located in Ho Chi Minh City, meets the sentiments of the people of the South towards President Ho Chi Minh.”
