Opening of the Fine Arts Exhibition of the Red River Delta region
To celebrate the 67th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 26, the 17th Fine Arts Exhibition of the Red River Delta region opened at the Thai Binh Provincial Information Exhibition House..

The exhibition introduces 313 works of painting, graphic design, sculpture, and applied art by 277 authors; including 101 works by 65 authors who are members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and 212 works by authors who are members of the Literature and Arts Associations of 9 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region: Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, and Ninh Binh. These are the latest works, created by the authors between August 2011 and August 2012. The works are very diverse in subject matter and style.
At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the A prize to the woodcut painting “Souvenir of a Marine Soldier” by Pham Hung Cuong (Thai Binh); the C prize to the work “Dawn on the Frontline Island” by Pham Ngoc Lam (Hai Phong) and 6 other prizes to other excellent works. The exhibition is open until September 3.
