Opening of the Red River Delta Regional Fine Arts Exhibition
To celebrate the 67th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the 17th Red River Delta Regional Fine Arts Exhibition opened on August 26th at the Thai Binh Provincial Information Exhibition House..

The exhibition features 313 paintings, graphic art, sculptures, and applied art works by 277 artists; including 101 works by 65 artists who are members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and 212 works by artists who are members of the Literature and Arts Associations of 9 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region: Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, and Ninh Binh. These are the latest works, created by the artists between August 2011 and August 2012. The works are very diverse in subject matter and style.
At the opening ceremony, the organizing committee awarded the A prize to the woodblock print "Memento of a Marine Soldier" by Pham Hung Cuong (Thai Binh); the C prize to the work "Dawn on the Frontline Islands" by Pham Ngoc Lam (Hai Phong); and six honorary awards to other outstanding works. The exhibition is open until September 3rd.
