Solemn opening of the 19th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2025-2030

Attending and directing the congress, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, there were comrades: Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union; and comrades in the Central Committee of the Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Youth Union.

The leaders of Nghe An province include comrades: Nguyen Khac Than - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with comrades members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of Military Region 4, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and leaders of the Provincial Youth Union through the periods.

Increasingly strong in all aspects, truly a reliable reserve force of the Party

The congress took place with the theme:“Proud and confident in following the Party, Nghe An youth are pioneers, united, courageous, innovative, and develop, contributing to making Nghe An a national growth pole in the new era of development.”and action slogan:“Pioneer - Solidarity - Courage - Breakthrough - Development”.

The Congress has the task of evaluating and summarizing the Youth Union and youth movement work program for the 2022-2025 period, determining the goals, directions, tasks and solutions for the Youth Union and youth movement work for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the documents of the 13th National Youth Union Congress, term 2025-2030.

In the period of 2022 - 2025, under the leadership of the Central Youth Union and Party committees at all levels, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province will become increasingly strong in all aspects, truly a reliable reserve force of the Party, a revolutionary shock force and a socialist school for youth.

In line with the development of the homeland, the Youth Union and youth movement of Nghe An province in the past term have had many positive changes.

The three revolutionary action movements of the Union and three programs accompanying youth are increasingly suitable to the realities of life, the aspirations of youth and the requirements of society.

In spirit"Where there is a need, there is youth; where there is difficulty, there is youth."Nghe An youth have taken the initiative to take on new and difficult tasks, actively contributing to the successful implementation of Party Congress Resolutions at all levels, promoting the pioneering role of youth in implementing major policies of the province and movements launched by the Central Youth Union.

Thereby, creating favorable conditions and environment for youth to train, contribute and mature; worthy of being the Party's reliable reserve force, a companion of youth in the province. At the end of the term, 11/12 targets were achieved, of which 7 targets were exceeded.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the congress aims to build a new generation of Nghe An youth with revolutionary ideals; patriotism; courage, ambition, good ethics; extensive knowledge, healthy physique and a soul rich in Nghe An cultural identity, becoming global citizens with "Nghe" qualities, contributing to building and defending the Fatherland.

Promoting the spirit of dedication and the vanguard role of young people in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, international integration; developing science and technology, innovative startups, digital transformation; protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views; participating in preventing, combating, and reducing crime rates among teenagers...

Nghe An youth must contribute more to the province's development.

Speaking at the congress, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, acknowledged, commended and warmly congratulated the achievements that the province's youth have made in the past term.

To realize the aspirations of the Party Committee and the People of the province set out at the 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee hopes that the Youth Union and the youth of the province must continue to promote the achievements, overcome difficulties and limitations, with great efforts, high determination, promote the combined strength and intellectual capacity of each youth union member.

In the coming term, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than suggested that Youth Union organizations at all levels need to deeply understand the position and role of youth in the revolutionary cause; the mission of fostering revolutionary ideals, arousing pride, promoting and taking the lead in preserving, maintaining and developing Uncle Ho's culture and traditions.

Every young person from Uncle Ho's hometown must consider it an honor and a great responsibility to live, study and work to be worthy of the pride of being born in his homeland.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that the Youth Union must truly become a pioneering, creative force, leading the way in realizing the political tasks of the locality. The activities of the Union and youth organizations must be closely linked to the political tasks of the locality and the province.

Youth Unions at all levels must truly be great friends, accompanying young people to start businesses, establish careers, and get rich legitimately right in their homeland. One of the biggest goals of the province is to create many quality jobs and increase income for the people. Nghe An is determined to solve the problem of "brain drain" - how to make it possible for young people to confidently start businesses, contribute and succeed right in their homeland.

"The Provincial Party Committee and government always understand, are concerned and are making efforts every day, through policies to attract investment, develop the economy, build a dynamic and modern living and working environment, to create the best conditions for young people to promote their talents and intelligence, and contribute to building their homeland" - Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than affirmed.

Emphasizing that the world is changing every day due to technology and artificial intelligence, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than suggested that the provincial Youth Union needs to take the lead in digital transformation and proactively and confidently integrate internationally.

"I want Nghe An youth to be the "masters" of cyberspace, turning it into a tool for learning, development, and connection, instead of "immersing" themselves in it, following negative trends. Nghe An youth need to affirm their role as a pioneering force in developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo" - Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than said.

Along with that, pay attention to building a strong and comprehensive Youth Union organization, a socialist school for youth, a source of high-quality young cadres for the Party and the political system.

Speaking at the congress, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Bui Quang Huy suggested that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province continue to innovate in content and form in educating the young generation about revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and culture.

The Youth Union at all levels needs to create vivid, modern, in-depth forms of education that are suitable to the psychological characteristics and living space of the province's youth today. It is necessary to build in the youth a strong will, pure patriotism, cultural identity, a sense of social responsibility and the ability to master new knowledge.

It is necessary to combine studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style with arousing in Nghe An youth pride in Uncle Ho's homeland so that each young person can train himself to become a citizen with a pure heart, bright mind and great ambition.

The First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union proposed to comprehensively organize and deploy revolutionary action movements in a broad but practical direction, focusing on practical effectiveness.

Prioritize models that can be replicated quickly, at reasonable costs, and have a great impact on the practical lives of young people, with special attention paid to content on community volunteering, youth startups, and digital transformation.

In addition, focus on building a strong digital youth force to not only meet the new requirements of the Youth Union but also become a core force to support Party committees and authorities in building digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Comrade Bui Quang Huy suggested that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the province should expand the front to gather young people into the Youth Union and Association. To do so, the Youth Union must truly be a trustworthy companion of the youth. Youth Union officials need to consider, think, and implement appropriate solutions to help young people in life, in study, and in business activities.

Focus on building a team of union cadres with courage, intelligence, prestige and dedication. Union cadres must set an example for union members and youth in all fields. Union cadres in the current period must not only be enthusiastic, responsible and creative but also need to be good at speaking and doing to make up for the human resources that have been reduced in the recent rearrangement process.

The Congress voted to approve the draft Resolution of the Congress with 4 groups of targets and 15 key targets for the 2025-2030 term.
