Opening of lifelong learning response week in Nghe An

On the morning of October 5, in Vinh city, the Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education held the opening ceremony of the 2020 Lifelong Learning Response Week.

The 2020 Lifelong Learning Week was launched with the theme “Digital transformation promotes lifelong learning”. Through that, the message is to send: It is necessary to study regularly, study for life and complete Vietnam's open learning network, towards universalizing digital skills, skills to ensure safety and security at a basic level for people and promoting communication, raising awareness, building digital culture in the community.
At the same time, call on departments, branches, organizations, authorities at all levels, and educational institutions to be responsible for creating the most favorable conditions to help people study to meet job requirements and integration requirements for development.
The launching ceremony was held atVinh cityin the context of the city being admitted by UNESCO to the Global Network of Learning Cities. Proud to be a citizen of Vinh city, through the ceremony, we aim to raise the responsibility for everyone to participate and inspire the spirit of lifelong learning, build a learning society, and build an increasingly developed and civilized city.
During the week responding to "Lifelong Learning", activities will be carried out such as promoting the purpose, meaning, role, and benefits of lifelong learning as well as the role of digital transformation in promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone.

At the opening ceremony,Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded 20 scholarships to students who overcame difficulties and studied well in Ha Huy Tap ward. At the same time, it awarded 60 million VND in support and 200 free English classes to students throughout the city.
Lifelong Learning Week will take place from October 5 to October 11, 2020 and will be launched simultaneously in 21 districts, cities and towns.
This year, according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training, the activities of the week must be practical and effective in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic.
