Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien, Professor Tran Thanh Van, Professor Ngo Bao Chau, many leading Vietnamese scientists, and four Nobel Prize winners in Physics attended the event.
The ICISE center covers an area of over 20 hectares and is located in the Ghenh Rang area, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.
Opening opportunities for top-level scientific collaboration.
ICISE is a project personally invested in by Professor Tran Thanh Van with the desire to create an international-level scientific meeting point for leading researchers from around the world to exchange ideas and work in Vietnam.
With the approval of the Prime Minister and the full support of the leaders of Binh Dinh province, ICISE began construction in December 2011. Since then, Professor Tran Thanh Van has been able to realize the idea he had cherished for 20 years, with the desire to serve the activities of the "Meeting Vietnam" program, ensuring its long-term stability and depth.
From 1993 to 2013, Professor Tran Thanh Van participated in nine "Meeting Vietnam" conferences and 19 advanced courses of the International Physics Olympiad.
Starting with the theme of "Fundamental Particle Physics," the conferences have now expanded to include cosmology, materials science, biology, and several other interdisciplinary sciences.
These are high-quality conferences and training courses, featuring many of the world's leading scientists and providing up-to-date information on cutting-edge and modern scientific research achievements worldwide.
In Vietnam, and indeed in the ASEAN region, such systematic, high-level academic scientific activities were rarely seen. Over the past 20 years, many young Vietnamese researchers, inspired by the academic atmosphere of the "Meeting Vietnam" events, have decided to pursue careers in scientific research.

ICISE will become a unique academic scientific hub in Asia, attracting leading scientists from around the world to regularly work and hold conferences with their colleagues and students in the Asia-Pacific region.
A milestone in the efforts of the scientific community.
In his welcoming remarks at the launch of ICISE, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan assessed that this event and the international conference themed "Window to the Universe" in Quy Nhon marked another important milestone in the efforts of the international and Vietnamese scientific community, leaders of various sectors and localities, and Professor Tran Thanh Van and his wife in providing strong and concrete support to Vietnamese scientists in general and young scientists in particular.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the presence of a large number of scientists, including many leading international scientists, further highlighted the special significance of this event. It is truly an honor and a source of pride for the Vietnamese scientific community.
The Deputy Prime Minister believes that this event also sends a meaningful message to friends and scientists around the world about a Vietnam that loves peace and is passionate about learning and scientific research.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan expressed gratitude for the effective assistance and cooperation of the governments and scientific agencies of partner countries, international scientists, and Vietnamese scientists abroad that have been given to young Vietnamese scientists over the years, contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic development.

During this period, ICISE hosted the International Scientific Conference on Physics with the theme: “Windows to the Universe,” along with other top-tier physics conferences: Cosmology in the Planck Era; General Relativity and Gravity; Nanophysics: From Fundamentals to Applications; Windows to the Universe; two specialized workshops (19th Vietnam Physics Conference: Theoretical and Computational Solid State Physics; 1st Astrophysics Conference: Astrophysics and Cosmology); and the "Hands-on Learning" workshop and training.
ICISE is built on a 20-hectare plot of land in the Quy Hoa beach area, Ghenh Rang ward, Quy Nhon city.
After nearly two years of construction, the main component, the Convention Center, has been completed, featuring a 400-seat conference hall. Auxiliary structures such as the bridge over the river have been finished, the river's course has been straightened, and the newly opened main road connecting National Highway 1D to the Center has been paved with asphalt.
