Free medical check-ups for beneficiaries of social policies in Nghi Kim commune.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 14th, Nghe An Eye Hospital, in coordination with Vinh City Youth Union, organized free medical examinations, treatment, and medication distribution for beneficiaries of social policies in Nghi Kim commune.
Here, the volunteer team provided free medical examinations, health consultations, and medication to 150 beneficiaries, including families receiving government assistance, war veterans, and elderly people living alone. In addition to eye examinations and free medication, the volunteer team also offered modern eye care services such as free phacoemulsification surgery for elderly people with cataracts. Each surgery costs up to 7 million VND, and the total cost of this volunteer medical mission was 30 million VND. All expenses were covered by the youth group.
