Free medical check-ups and medication provided on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27th.

(Baonghean.vn) -In anticipation of the 66th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th, on July 23rd and 24th, the Veterans Association and the Youth Union of the Department of Health, in coordination with the two general hospitals of Dien Chau and Anh Son districts, organized free health check-ups, consultations, and medication distribution for nearly 400 people who are war invalids and martyrs in Anh Son and Dien Chau districts.

In Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district and Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, a working group of 10 doctors and pharmacists led by Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hong – Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Chairman of the Veterans Association of the Department of Health – organized health screenings and consultations on healthcare and disease prevention for nearly 400 individuals, including Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people who have made contributions to the revolution.

During the screening process, patients with common illnesses will be given free medication to treat at home. If chronic diseases are detected, doctors will refer patients to higher-level facilities for timely treatment.

The total cost for this free health check-up, consultation, and medication distribution was nearly 50 million VND.
