The Yeti, a snowman that lurks in the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, has long been a mystery to researchers. Scientists have yet to find evidence that the Yeti resembles a primate and is one and a half times taller than a normal human, according to Mirror.
In Channel 4's "Yeti: Myth, Man or Beast?", a team of geneticists examine evidence of the yeti and find out whether the mythical creature is real.
The term “yet man” was coined in 1921 when Lieutenant Colonel Charles Howard-Bury led a British expedition to the summit of Mount Everest. In his book about the adventure, Howard-Bury claimed that his team encountered two rows of footprints in the soft snow, most likely left by people walking barefoot. Many people have claimed to have seen the Yeti in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, India and even Mongolia, but have not been able to provide solid evidence to prove it.
