Experts in Sweden have researched and created a hotel that freezes 365 days a year.
The hotel, called Icehotel 365, was built in the village of Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. Previously, this hotel only existed for a few winter months. When spring came, the warm weather melted the ice and the hotel was forced to close. A new ice hotel would be built the following winter. |
Now, Swedish experts have researched and found a way to keep ice from melting, even in the middle of summer with high temperatures. |
The hotel’s bedrooms are simple but luxurious, with a bed and a nightstand with an ice lamp. But guests can rest assured that each bed has a warm blanket and soft mattress. |
The hotel has a special room where the ice bed is designed to protrude above a large block of ice, giving the impression that the bed is floating. |
In addition to the bedrooms, the hotel also has an Icebar serving drinks on demand and a gallery displaying ice sculptures. |
The hotel attracts many sculptors from all over the world. Famous artists such as Tjåsa Gusfors and Patrick Dallard have also placed their works here. |
The ice sculptures displayed here include many themes, animals, flowers and grasses and receive praise from many visitors. |
A luxury room in the hotel created by two French sculptors Nicolas Triboulot and Cédric Alizard. |
An estimated 1 ton of ice and more than 30,000 liters of water were taken from the Torne River to create the hotel. |
To meet the needs of tourists, this year the Icehotel 365 will expand the number of rooms. |
The hotel attracts a large number of tourists around the world and is the choice of many couples to organize weddings and enjoy their honeymoon. |
