Free medical examination and screening for nearly 4,000 children in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - From April 2 to 5, with the sponsorship of Zhi-Shan Foundation, Nghe An Province Children's Fund in collaboration with Vinh International Hospital and Hoan My Da Nang Hospital organized a disease screening program for children in Dien Chau district, Hoang Mai town, Yen Thanh and Tan Ky.
Screening subjects include children from 0 to 16 years old with disabilities in: Heart, Eyes, Cleft lip and palate, Urinary - reproductive system, motor system disabilities, etc.
After 4 working days, the delegation examined and performed ultrasounds on nearly 4,000 children, and indicated surgery (and monitored the disease) for 112 children. For cases indicated for surgery, the Provincial Children's Fund will guide the preparation of sponsorship applications for free surgery at the provincial level or transfer to a higher level according to regulations. For cases under monitoring, specialists will advise on care and health monitoring for children.
