Free heart screening for children in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn)- From November 15-17, doctors from Hoan My Hospital (Da Nang) organized free heart screening for more than 750 children in Nghe An province.
The program is organized by the coordination between Nghe An Children's Fund and Hoan My Hospital.
On the afternoon of November 15, 150 children in Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc districts, Cua Lo town and Vinh city were examined and screened with ultrasound at the headquarters of the Nghe An Provincial Children's Support Fund.

On November 16, the team will conduct a screening examination for children in Quynh Luu district. Here, about 300 children from Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop districts, Thai Hoa town, Nghia Dan, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai town will receive free examinations.
On November 17, the delegation will examine children in Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong and Do Luong districts at the Provincial Social Work Center in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district. There, about 300 children will receive free medical examinations.

A representative of the Nghe An Children's Fund said that during this general examination of the whole province, children who are found to have heart disease will be guided through the procedures so that the Provincial Children's Fund can send them to hospitals in Hanoi, Da Nang, Saigon and humanitarian organizations to request surgery support. Children who need emergency surgery will be given priority for surgery.
