After the love and personal life scandals, it seems that Hien Ho has not been welcomed back by the audience.

Recently, the organizers of a music night featuring female singer Hien Ho and Trinh Thang Binh decided to cancel the event due to strong opposition from the audience.

Accordingly, the program's Fanpage posted an article with the content: "First of all, the Organizing Committee would like to send our deepest apologies to the audience and customers for the recent controversy related to the music show. Having received and accepted feedback from the audience, we have agreed with the singers and decided to cancel the music show of singers Trinh Thang Binh and Hien Ho scheduled to take place on April 22.

We, the Organizing Committee, would like to sincerely apologize to all audiences and customers for the inaccurate and unobjective messages commented on the page."

The organizers said that they have drawn profound lessons from the incident in their artistic activities. "We will pay more attention to the artistic values that the audience desires and strives for, and will always listen and take note of community messages to create more suitable and valuable products."

This move surprised many people because before that, the organizers of the concert continuously responded to comments opposing Hien Ho and Trinh Thang Binh. The organizers even affirmed: "We do not book singers to tell personal stories, we book singers to serve the audience who love them."

The fact that the organizers “turned around” at the last minute partly proved that the fierce boycott from the audience had a great impact. After the scandals about love and private life, singer Hien Ho still could not regain the sympathy of her fans.

Hien Ho used to be a beloved name before encountering private life scandals.

Singer Trinh Thang Binh was also affected when he openly shared intimate photos with Hien Ho. After Trinh Thang Binh posted a photo of him having dinner with Hien Ho on March 27, many viewers expressed their disappointment and called for him to unfollow the singer. In response to the fans' reactions, Trinh Thang Binh remained calm and hoped that the fans who unfollowed him on his personal page would come back when he released a new music product.

Hien Ho was once loved for her bright appearance and captivating voice. However, after photos of her dating a rich man in his 60s who already had a family were revealed, the audience turned their backs on her. She had to temporarily stop her artistic activities for a while and only recently started to return to the music scene with the songVery good people are better not to meet.

However, Hien Ho's new music products were not as well received as before. Many of her shows were also canceled due to audience boycotts and protests. In January 2022, the music night welcoming new students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry also had to remove Hien Ho's name when students did not accept an artist with a personal scandal.

For a long time, Vietnamese audiences have been considered more tolerant and forgiving than audiences in countries like Korea or China. Many Vietnamese artists, when involved in scandals, apply the same "lifetime" formula: stay silent, wait for the incident to calm down and then return as if nothing happened.

However, through the case of singer Hien Ho, it can be seen that this formula is no longer as effective as before. Vietnamese audiences are now ready to use their “right to boycott” artists with personal scandals. This is also a warning for other artists to behave, live a standard lifestyle and respect their audiences.
