Towels - a potential health hazard
If you want to stay healthy and avoid illness, you should wash your towels after 3 uses.
Towels are a familiar item in human life. However, according to many experts, they pose many potential health risks.
According to Daily Mail, towels such as bath towels, face towels, and dish towels are a haven for bacteria, fungi, dead skin, bodily fluids, and many other germs lurking in your bathroom.
Professor Philip Tierno, a microbiologist and pathologist at the New York University School of Medicine, recommends washing your towel after every three washes to avoid infection from bathroom germs. Professor Tierono also recommends using a dry towel.

"A wet towel can breed bacteria. A smelly towel or any place that smells is a breeding ground for bacteria. So it has to be washed," said Professor Tierno.
Professor Tierno said it was difficult to say whether the bacteria on towels were harmful or not because most household germs did not come from towels alone. However, people who shared towels with others were at a much higher risk of getting sick.
This is because people who share towels can come into contact with bacteria from other people's bodies, so they cannot deal with these pathogens in time. These include Staphylococcus aureus, a type of bacteria that can cause acne and skin infections.
