Director of Hanoi Bus Station Company Limited (BXHN) Nguyen Tung Anh affirmed: The number of passengers at the bus stations will fluctuate greatly, concentrated in the afternoons of April 29 and 30, and is expected to increase two or three times compared to normal days. The number of passengers returning to Hanoi will increase on May 4.

Head of Hanoi Railway Station (GHN) Vu Dinh Rau also commented: The number of passengers at Hanoi Railway Station on April 29, 30 and May 4 is likely to reach 20,000 per day. Currently, sleeper and soft seat tickets on most trains are sold out, while hard seat and extra seat tickets are very rare. When asking some ticket brokers around Hanoi Railway Station, we were all told that there are still tickets, but we are required to book in advance and make an appointment to pick up the tickets later. Mr. Rau warned: "Train tickets during the holidays are currently in short supply. It is true that there are still a small number of tickets floating around outside because people who have bought them and now want to return them, but do not want to lose 30% of the value according to regulations, so they sell them outside to make a profit. But when buying tickets on the black market, people should be careful to avoid being cheated or receiving fake tickets."

Ticket shortages also occur in the aviation industry. Ms. Le Thu Ha, a lawyer, said: "I've been busy all year, and this holiday season I want to go on a trip with my family. Due to many things, I booked a flight to Nha Trang in early April, but the tickets for April 29 and 30 were sold out, so I had to go on May 1. So I lost a day off." According to airline ticket agents, the number of group tickets for the afternoon of April 29, the morning of May 30, and the return afternoon of May 4 were sold out. Customers only have the opportunity to buy individual tickets, and there will be no cheap tickets, all are sold at regular and high prices.

VietJetAir has opened flights between Hanoi and Phu Quoc, and increased the frequency of more than 140 flights per week, providing an additional 25,200 air tickets/week during this peak season. Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has also "increased capacity" on some domestic routes. Specifically, from April 25 to May 5, VNA will add 342 flights on 16 domestic routes, an increase of 20% compared to the regular flight schedule with a total additional capacity of about 58,700 seats. The company has proposed that the Hanoi Transport Corporation increase the number of bus trips from bus stations to Hanoi, in order to transport the sudden increase in passengers from inter-provincial vehicles returning to Hanoi on May 4; it is expected that 400 bus trips will be needed. To prevent businesses from "following the trend" by increasing ticket prices, the Ministry of Transport has met with transport companies, signed a commitment to keep ticket prices correct and perform well in serving passengers according to regulations, not to overload or transport flammable and explosive substances.

"To avoid the situation of buses picking up passengers along the way and "ripping off" passengers, bus stations recommend that people buy tickets at the station. When a situation occurs, people are asked to directly report and consult with the authorities, bus station management or call the hotline to receive the most accurate information and assistance," Director Tung Anh advised.

Sharing about the railway industry's preparations, Head of GHN Vu Dinh Rau said: We have increased one trip to Hue, one trip to Quang Binh, seven trips to Nghe An and seven trips on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route. 100% of the company's staff, workers and youth union members are mobilized and on duty at the stations on peak days, to both help and ensure safety, prevent and fight fires and explosions.
