(Baonghean.vn) - Van Phan Seafood Joint Stock Company is headquartered in Ngoc Van hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. The company's products are increasingly asserting themselves in the domestic market and have been exported abroad.
Brand Affirmation
In 2000, Van Phan Company officially became a joint stock company operating under the Enterprise Law on a completely autonomous basis. After the conversion, Dien Chau Seafood Joint Stock Company encountered many difficulties, especially in terms of capital, employment and product consumption market. Faced with this situation, the Company's leaders pondered, thought, and found solutions to boost production and product consumption. Focused on vocational training, recruiting young, skilled and experienced workers to improve product quality.

In addition to focusing on improving product quality, the Board of Directors has sought markets by participating in many fairs and exhibitions in Vinh City, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho or the Northern provinces... Through the fairs, the Company has opened more stores, agents and some consignment points. Currently, the Company has nearly 240 agents nationwide. An important milestone was in 2013, the first batch of fish sauce under the Van Phan brand was exported to the Malaysian market with a quantity of 18,000 liters. This was a major turning point marking the remarkable development and the beginning for the Company to expand to foreign markets.

Mr. Vo Van Dai - Director of Van Phan Seafood Joint Stock Company said: Determining product quality determines the survival of the enterprise, the Company has applied the ISO 22,000: 2005 Food Safety Quality Management System to production, improving the quality and competitiveness of the products. It has applied 4 new scientific and technological topics, cleaner production programs, and technical process conversion, helping to effectively protect the environment and save billions of VND in costs each year.

Every year, the company produces over 1 million liters of fish sauce with a very high protein content of 25 - 30 degrees, bringing in revenue of over 12 billion VND. The average income of workers in 2015 reached 6 million VND/person/month. Currently, the company's products are not only trusted by domestic consumers but also exported to countries such as Russia, Australia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Angola, etc. That proves that the traditional fish sauce brand Van Phan is gradually being affirmed. The unit is implementing the project "Creating, managing and developing the certification mark "Van Phan fish sauce" for fish sauce products of Dien Chau district, Nghe An province" sponsored by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Nghe An Department of Science & Technology will help Dien Chau fish sauce have conditions to develop.
Building intellectual property
Recognizing the important role of intellectual property, since the transition to a joint stock company model, the company's leaders have implemented many measures such as sightseeing, applying new science and technology, converting the production process from cooking and breaking the residue to drawing, saving production costs, increasing labor productivity, increasing the quality of Van Phan fish sauce, ensuring food hygiene and safety, ensuring the health of the community. Thanks to that, Van Phan fish sauce products are increasingly favored and trusted by consumers, helping to expand the domestic market and export abroad.

In 2004, the Company was granted a Certificate of Trademark Registration No. 56727 by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office, pursuant to Decision A5824/QD-DK dated August 27, 2004. In addition, the General Department of Quality Measurement of Vietnam also granted the barcode number 89350520 in accordance with the regulations of the International Bar Association for the Company's products. This is the legal basis for the Company to affirm its position and enhance the competitiveness of its products in the market.
Mr. Vo Van Dai affirmed: On April 12, 2016, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam granted the trademark certificate "Van Phan Fish Sauce" for the fish sauce products of Dien Chau Seafood Joint Stock Company. The establishment and management of the collective certification trademark "Van Phan Fish Sauce" for the fish sauce products of Dien Chau district, Nghe An province aims to protect the prestige, enhance the reputation and competitiveness of Dien Chau local fish sauce products in the market, contributing to solving jobs and increasing income for production and business households in Dien Chau.

In the coming time, the Company hopes that the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An will support the enterprise to promote brand development and conduct international registration. When conditions permit, the State needs to have appropriate investment measures to convert the Van Phan Fish Sauce Certification Mark into a geographical indication, contributing to the strong development of Nghe An's economy as directed by the Resolution of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term XVIII, 2015-2020.
Van Phan Fish Sauce products were awarded the Gold Medal for High Quality Vietnamese Products, the Golden Bridge Award for High Quality Vietnamese Products by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and were ranked in the Top 300 leading Vietnamese products in 2014 as voted by consumers. Van Phan Fish Sauce won the Silver Prize for Vietnam Quality Award, won the Vietnam Seafood Gold Cup for the first time in 2009, the second time in 2011, and was one of two products of Nghe An certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as Typical Rural Industrial Products of Nghe An and the Northern Region in 2012 and 2014. It was the only National Typical Rural Industrial Product of Nghe An in 2015, and won the National Quality Award in 2015. |
