Affirming the Party's intelligence, mettle and innovation

The rich practice of the past nine decades of the Vietnamese revolution shows that our Party has always attached importance to Party building - a key task that determines the strength and prestige of the Party. The Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat have issued many resolutions, conclusions, and directives on Party building. Accordingly, one of the highlights of the Platform and Documents of the National Party Congress is the work of Party building and Party rectification, especially in the period of renovation. During the renovation process, the Central Committee has issued eight resolutions, and the Politburo has issued six thematic resolutions on Party building. Of which, four times our Party has issued resolutions on Party building and rectification.

The Party rectification campaigns have brought about positive results. The strict disciplinary action against Party members who have violated or degraded their political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", both incumbent and retired officials, has contributed significantly to making our Party more united, stronger, cleaner and the people's trust in the Party has been strengthened; creating a solid foundation and premise for the country to develop rapidly and sustainably.

In recent times, the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle has achieved very positive results, spreading deeply and widely throughout society, creating an exciting atmosphere, encouraging cadres, party members and people to study and follow Uncle Ho, and having the effect of orienting the building of Vietnamese culture and personality.

At the same time, create a positive and clear change in the awareness and actions of cadres, party members and people about the necessity of preserving and practicing revolutionary ethics, and studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

In particular, Party committees at all levels, agencies, units and localities have had many rich and diverse measures and forms to mobilize, encourage and motivate cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life to actively and proactively follow Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style with specific and practical actions.

Many exemplary and dedicated cadres and party members have emerged, with innovative working methods and styles, close to reality, and a high sense of responsibility to serve the people. They have been recognized by the people, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and State.

Currently, our Party is directing the drafting of documents in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress to be held in early 2021.

The draft Political Report submitted to the Congress is required to not only determine the goals and tasks for national development in the 5 years 2021 - 2025, but also to determine the goals for national development until 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding and the vision to the mid-21st century, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

This is a very important direction, inheriting and promoting the valuable lessons and traditions of the Party. In particular, it is determined that by 2045, in the middle of the 21st century, our country will become a developed country (of course, an industrialized country, according to the common view in the world today), with a high income, will gloriously stand shoulder to shoulder with friends in the five continents as Uncle Ho wished 100 years ago, is the aspiration of our people, our country today, is the vision and leadership mission of the Party for our country in the new development stage.

Since the founding of the Party and throughout the process of leading our country's revolution, Uncle Ho always required cadres and party members to set an example, first of all in ethics, lifestyle and action.

More than anyone else, party members must always be exemplary in life and production. Especially in difficult and challenging times, party members need to promote their roles and responsibilities more clearly to set an example for the masses to follow.

For senior party members, it is necessary to set a good example for the younger generation, and party members who are officials in positions must set an example for their subordinates. Especially in the current situation when hostile forces are trying to distort the Party's leadership, more than anyone else, party members need to have a steadfast spirit, shining revolutionary qualities that do not waver, and explain so that the masses clearly understand and do not let hostile forces sabotage the Party.

To set an example, a Party member has two important tasks: to always cultivate and train morality, constantly study, grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and strive to follow the Party's ideals.

Second, we must unite and be exemplary in carrying out all tasks to rally party members and the masses.

Realizing that enlightenment, studying and protecting the Party's ideal foundation is an urgent and important issue, I strived and was admitted to the Party when I was a 12th grade student. Since then, I have always tried to be worthy of being a Party member.

Currently, hostile forces take advantage of the negative side of the Internet to carry out bad plots, spreading bad information that goes against the policies of our Party and State; along with that, the complicated developments of the times have somewhat "faded" the revolutionary ideals of a part of young people.

Therefore, in my opinion, it is necessary to propose timely and effective solutions to overcome those limitations and shortcomings. Especially, it is necessary to promote propaganda and raise awareness among young party members and youths about the Party's ideals.

Guide and direct cadres and party members enthusiastically in Youth Union and Party activities. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to the work of training young human resources for the Party; leaders at all levels need to regularly care and trust the young generation to strive to become excellent party members, dedicated to building our Party stronger and stronger.
