The family of Senior Lieutenant Luong Van Tu, formerly residing in Na Khuong village, Na Loi commune, faced difficult circumstances. The entire family lived in a dilapidated and unsafe house, especially during storms. They were selected by the Nghe An Border Guard Command to receive support for the construction of a "Soldier's Home on the Border." Construction of Senior Lieutenant Tu's house began on March 24, 2014. With a usable area of over 120 square meters, it is a stilt house with a cement foundation, brick walls, wooden siding, and a corrugated iron roof, ensuring the family's living needs are met. The total construction cost was over 200 million VND. Of this, the Nghe An Border Guard Command contributed 60,000,000 VND from contributions by officers and soldiers, while the remainder came from financial and material contributions from the family, relatives, and the labor assistance of officers and soldiers from the Na Loi Border Guard Post.
The house was completed just two months after construction began, ensuring it was on schedule and built to a high standard, providing long-lasting usability and allowing soldier Tú to focus on his work with peace of mind.
