Cua Dong General Hospital was established in 2002. After 10 years of operation, the hospital has provided medical examination and treatment to over 1.5 million people, contributing to meeting the healthcare needs of the people in the province and the region. In 2010, construction began on the second facility of Cua Dong General Hospital; after 15 months of construction, the second facility – the high-tech medical examination and treatment area of ​​Cua Dong General Hospital – was completed with a total investment of 235 billion VND, with a capacity of 250 beds and many modern examination and treatment equipment.

The head of the Department of Health presented the decision to grant the hospital a 250-bed capacity.

Attending and speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Comrade Thai Van Hang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, congratulated Cua Dong General Hospital. Comrade Thai Van Hang affirmed: With the major policy of always prioritizing healthcare for the people, the Party Committee, government, and people of the province have always created favorable conditions for the development of the health sector. The establishment of the high-tech medical examination and treatment area at Cua Dong General Hospital has invested in facilities and equipment to serve patients… He requested: The Board of Directors and the hospital's management board should continue to improve the hospital's facilities and equipment; recruit, train, and cultivate a team of highly skilled and ethical staff who treat patients as their own family members and provide the best possible service.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Department of Health presented the certificate recognizing Cua Dong General Hospital as a 250-bed hospital.
