Inauguration of the foreign information cluster at Cha Lo international border gate

On October 20, at Cha Lo international border gate (Quang Binh), the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Binh province to organize the inauguration ceremony of the Foreign Information Cluster project. Deputy Minister Truong Minh Tuan attended and cut the ribbon.

The project has a total investment value of 3.5 billion VND, including the following items: A 27.64 m LED screen, a sound system, a large capacity speaker system, a mobile TV screen, a mini generator and an electronic reference cabinet, best serving the foreign propaganda work at the border gate area.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said: “Cha Lo International Border Gate is a place for trade with Laos and other countries in the East-West Economic Corridor. This is a place that welcomes a large number of tourists and traders every day, so the need for information about the country, people as well as trade and investment policies is very necessary.

The objective of the foreign information cluster is to raise awareness among people in border areas about the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and Vietnam's foreign policy with neighboring countries, international and regional friends.

The foreign information cluster will also introduce traditional cultural values ​​about the country and people of Vietnam to people in remote areas, while helping to raise awareness and responsibility of the masses and people in protecting national border and territorial sovereignty.

“In addition, this is also a project to welcome the 16th Congress of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, term 2015-2020,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

The Deputy Minister also requested the People's Committee of Quang Binh province to continue to pay attention to directing and creating conditions in allocating regular budgets to maximize the effectiveness of the project.
