In Con Cuong and Que Phong districts, leaders of May Forestry Company and consulting units visited the raw material areas in the area, worked with leaders and specialized departments of localities to discuss policies and mechanisms to support the development of raw material areas, purchasing mechanisms and the ability to develop raw material areas in the area.

Accordingly, the policy mechanism for raw material areas for Nghe An Wood Processing Factory in the above localities will also be implemented for forest planting households to advance without bank interest the following amounts: money for seedlings, fertilizers, termite control drugs, support for investment in technical design, and agricultural extension for forest planters.
Households commit to sell 100% of their products to the Factory after harvesting according to the market mechanism at the time of sale. At the same time, support will be provided for the purchase price of raw materials from 80 km or more at 3% and 120 km or more at 5% of the purchase price at the Factory gate.
Localities and leaders of May Forestry Joint Stock Company agreed on the implementation plan and method on the basis of ensuring the harmony of interests between enterprises and people in raw material areas.

Nghe An Wood Processing Factory is built within the framework of the project "wood processing factory and sustainable forest development in Nghe An" with a total investment of 300 million USD (not including investment capital for sustainable raw material development area) divided into two phases. Phase I with a total investment of more than 100 million USD includes two lines, a wood bar processing line with a capacity of 12,000 m3/year and an MDF fiberboard processing line with a capacity of 130,000 m3/year. Phase 2 will increase the total capacity of the wood bar factory to 40,000 m3/year and the MDF wood factory to 400,000 m3/year with a total investment of 200 million USD. |
