Rewarding the 'village school' that had students win national prizes three times
(Baonghean.vn) - Although they only study at a "village school" in a coastal commune, for 3 consecutive years, students of Dien Hai Secondary School (Dien Chau) have had products that won prizes at the National Science and Technology Competition. On the afternoon of March 24, the Department of Education and Training visited and presented gifts to students, teachers and school principals.

Dien Hai Secondary School is one of the schools located in a difficult area of Dien Chau district. However, this is one of the leading schools in the district in implementing the movement of good teaching - good learning and scientific and technological innovation.
In the past 3 years alone, the school has had 30 creative ideas and 7 products competing at the district level, 4 products selected for the provincial level and 3 products selected for the National Science and Technology Competition. Of which, there is 1 Second Prize and 2 Encouragement Prizes.

These are the products: Exploiting solar energy using an external combustion engine by two students Dau Van Thuan and Nguyen Ngoc Chinh (Second prize, school year 2014 - 2015); Exploiting green energy to serve coastal residents by two students Le Minh Hoang and Nguyen Xuan Ky (Encouragement prize, school year 2015 - 2016); Fresh water distillation system for coastal residents by two students Ngo Thanh Dat and Nguyen Tien Dung (Encouragement prize, school year 2016 - 2017).
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi highly appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students of the school over the past years. She also hoped that the success of Dien Hai Secondary School would motivate students and teachers in the whole sector to continue to strive and innovate in teaching and learning. From there, many new teaching methods will be developed to inspire passion and creativity in students, flexibly applying knowledge from books to real life.
