When officials are exemplary and responsible
(Baonghean) - The Party Branch of Block 2 - Yen Thanh Town has 187 resident Party members. Despite the large number of Party members and residents, for 10 consecutive years (from 2001 to 2011), the Party Branch was recognized as the leading unit of the Town Party Committee. For five consecutive years (2006-2011), it was an outstanding grassroots Party branch of the district, receiving a commendation from the Provincial Party Committee, and was also recognized as a model cultural unit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
It has been learned that the Party Branch of Block 2 consistently strives to build a clean, strong, and comprehensive Party branch based on the five criteria stipulated by the Central Committee. Thanks to the effective implementation of the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism, and criticism, the Party branch has always maintained its role as the leading nucleus of the block, fostering unity among the people, consensus among the people, and development in the economy and culture. In the 16 neighborhood groups, where some cadres are weak or unable to manage tasks effectively, the Party branch secretaries and block leaders take turns attending meetings and directly participating with the neighborhood groups. On the 26th of each month, the neighborhood groups participate in environmental sanitation activities with the participation of the Party branch secretaries and village heads. They not only provide guidance but also work diligently alongside the people. Thanks to the unity, consensus, and exemplary conduct of the Party branch cadres, for over 10 years, Block 2 has had no complaints submitted to higher levels, 95% of households have been recognized as Cultural Families, and the block is a model cultural unit of the town.
Regarding Block 2, meeting with officials, Party members, and some residents, almost everyone shared the same opinion: Secretary Vo An Cu and Block Head Nguyen Duc Hong are two exemplary officials, united and dedicated to their work and to the people. The two secretaries and block heads always work side-by-side to manage the block's affairs. Block Head Nguyen Duc Hong confided: "With the Party branch's assignment and the people's support, the block has the facilities and position it has today, but how to maintain the status of a model cultural block and Party branch in the coming years, 5 years, 10 years from now... is something we are always concerned about."
Ask Mr. Than (retired Colonel), Mr. Cu (retired Standing Committee member of the District Party Committee), and Mr. Loi (District Chairman), all citizens of Block 2, and you will all receive the same answer: The reason why the Block 2 Party Branch has been able to maintain its status as an exemplary unit lies fundamentally in its personnel management. Both comrades, Secretary Vo Anh Cu and Block Leader Nguyen Duc Hong, are good and exemplary cadres who lead the movement.
