Village 7, Dien Ky commune in the past years was a hot spot for drug abuse. At its peak, there were up to 16 addicts and 3 drug retail outlets. Accordingly, thefts arose, and security and order in the area were unstable. Along with the drastic participation of all levels and functional agencies, the "Women's Anti-Drug" Club of the commune has had many practical activities to stabilize the situation. Besides propaganda work, the Club has coordinated with agencies to establish a crime denunciation mailbox, promptly receiving information and reports from the people. Thanks to that, in the past 5 years, there have been no new addicts in the village. Everyone is assured to take care of production.

Ms. Chu Thi Hien - President of the Women's Union of Dien Ky commune, said: In 2008, the Women's Union of the commune established the "Women's Drug Prevention Club". Determining that propaganda, mobilization and education play an important role in drug prevention, the club's management board organized a media conference on drug prevention, inviting district police officers to speak to provide information on social evils, especially drug abuse, to all local officials and club members, and at the same time provide experiences and solutions to detect, prevent and fight against drugs from entering the area. The club members focused their propaganda on high-risk groups such as people returning from work, unemployed youth, students, etc.

In Dien Thanh - one of the drug hotspots in Dien Chau, the "Women Against Drugs" Club model was also formed. Ms. Dau Thi Lan, President of the Women's Union of Dien Thanh commune, said: The club maintains activities once a month. Initially, some members thought that having a drug addict in the family was a private matter and did not want to interfere, so they did not want to join the club. After many club activities, seeing the practical benefits, many members enthusiastically participated.

Up to now, 100% of the remaining communes and towns in Dien Chau district have established the "Women with drug prevention" Club. Along with that, the area has also developed the model of "Women with the law" Club, "Shelter of love" Club and 452 women's mediation groups with nearly 2,000 members participating. Through the radio system, activities in the hamlets, directly close to the subjects and their families, members of the clubs have deeply propagated to raise awareness of compliance with the law on drug prevention, at the same time helping drug addicts reintegrate into the community after rehabilitation. Therefore, up to now, Dien Chau has built 10 drug-free communes.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Khang - Deputy Head of Dien Chau District Police, said: With a sense of responsibility and practical actions, from 2013 to now, the clubs have helped 60 people who have made mistakes to reintegrate into the community and 7 young people to get drug rehabilitation in the locality. At the same time, nearly 200 drug prevention propaganda sessions have been organized, attracting a large number of people to participate, especially young people. In particular, since the beginning of the year, the clubs have advised and contributed to helping the district police force arrest and handle 16 cases, 19 subjects of illegal drug trading, storage and use. Dismantling a major drug case, eliminating 2 drug dens and 11 drug retail points in the district, establishing centralized drug rehabilitation records for 23 subjects. It can be said that the "Women's Drug Prevention" Clubs in Dien Chau have been effective in raising awareness and responsibility of each citizen in drug prevention work.

Regarding the development orientation of the Club, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - President of the Dien Chau Women's Union said: In order for the model to continue to be effective and move towards building pilot models, the District Women's Union will direct all levels of the union to innovate the content and form of propaganda to attract more female members to participate. In addition to coordinating with functional sectors in management, education and drug rehabilitation, it is necessary to strengthen vocational training, create loan sources, develop the economy after rehabilitation...
