When the boss is a football fan

(Baonghean) -Strange! It's long past working hours and all the rooms are closed. The security guard just said the boss has already driven the car in.

Hearing a noise from the left side of the stairs upstairs, I hurried up, holding the autograph request form in my hand.

The boss's office was locked. Everyone was gathered in the conference room. The boss would probably be there for a long time, so I had to wait outside on the porch.

Voices came through the half-open door, as noisy as a market.

After listening carefully for a while, I realized that this was not a meeting, they were watching the final football match between Vietnam and Indonesia.

Wow! Wow! I've been busy with paperwork for my grandchild to go to school these past few days, and I almost forgot about the historic match.

I'm as much a football fan as these civil servants. I'll take the opportunity to peek in and see if the boss is here.

I gently pushed the door open and entered the room. No one paid any attention to the stranger.

Suddenly there was a loud scream:

- Penanty! Penanty!

- You clearly kicked someone in the head with both feet. The punishment is right! What else is there to argue about? - I was itching to comment.

The penalty kick was missed. Everyone was speechless, feeling sorry for their team.

I glanced around as I watched. The fat man sitting in the front row seemed to be the boss.

He shouted the loudest, clapped loudly and commented continuously. Every now and then a female employee brought a bottle of mineral water and offered it in a low voice.

I crept up to sit near the boss, intending to wait for an opportunity to hand over the menu and ask for his signature.

At this moment, the boss was clapping his hands and singing loudly: "Don't let them escape... Once they come in, there will be no way out". The whole room sang along...

The match is winding down.

Suddenly, there was a loud scream:

- In! In!

- I won!

I forgot that I was the one asking for the stamp, patted my boss on the shoulder and shouted: "Cheers to striker number 10!"

The boss didn't pay attention, stood up and raised his voice to command:

- 3 minutes of extra time left. Be careful!

That! That! Just lie down on the ground to kill time.

Time now every second is precious as gold.

- Right! Right! - I said - At Uon Cup, they even rolled around on the field like they were lying down.

The boss turned back to me, looking at me with the eyes of a comrade:

- You are... you are?

- I'm here to ask for your autograph.

- Wait a minute - the boss glanced at his watch, it was 10 o'clock.

The match is over. We won 1-0.

Suddenly, the boss hugged me like a player hugging the coach after a win, screaming his voice out.

- Vietnam champion! Vietnam champion!

It took another half hour for the officials to return to their offices with the spirit of winners!
