According to Colonel Ngoc's statement on VTV, when the police force protecting the scene included public police, communal police, undercover detectives and other professional units implementing measures under the direction of the police investigation agency, a number of reporters went to the scene to work.
At that time, the reporter could not present his press card or the necessary introduction letter as requested by the security guards at the scene.
During their duty, comrade Hung and comrade Thuyen, both criminal police officers of Dong Anh district, had a scuffle with reporters. “Comrade Hung used his hand to push away journalist Quang The and hit him on the cheek, then tried to kick him but missed. Comrade Thuyen then pushed his hand into a camera,” said Colonel Ngoc.
