The first is to upgrade National Highway 7B through Yen Thanh town, this is a vital route but has been seriously degraded for a long time, the asphalt surface is peeling, crisscrossed with potholes. Because there are no drainage ditches on both sides of the road, after a heavy rain, some sections are flooded.
Faced with the above situation, from the capital source of the Vietnam Road Maintenance Fund, the Vietnam Road Administration invested, from the beginning of June 2024, the project "Repairing damaged road surface and roadbed of drainage system to ensure traffic safety" has been implemented. The project has a length of 5.5km through Yen Thanh district (including Yen Thanh town and the communes: Hop Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Tang Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Xuan Thanh).

Accordingly, the construction of 3 km of asphalt pavement through Yen Thanh town is 5 cm thick, the remaining 2.5 km is to repair drainage ditches, pour concrete to reinforce the curbs on both sides, each side is 2.5 m. Up to this point, the project to upgrade National Highway 7B through Yen Thanh town has reached over 95% progress, currently the construction unit is implementing the items of curb painting and road marking according to standards.

The Ru Gam eco-tourism belt road of Yen Thanh district, over 5 km long, starting point connecting from National Highway 7B to National Highway 48 E, over 5 km long, passing through Bac Thanh, Xuan Thanh, and Tang Thanh communes, has been upgraded synchronously, including asphalt, drainage pavements on both sides, lighting, and trees. Up to now, this road has reached over 90% of the progress and will be put into use in 2024.

In addition, the route connecting Lang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district to Tan Son commune, Quynh Luu district is over 10 km long, which is the "lifeline" for transporting acacia and pineapple raw materials. However, over the past many years, this route has seriously degraded, and heavy rains cause flooding and peeling of the asphalt. To facilitate travel for people, at the same time, promote the development of acacia raw material areas, connect trade, and develop the socio-economy between the northern communes of Yen Thanh district such as Tien Thanh, Tan Thanh, Ma Thanh and some communes of Quynh Luu district. Since the beginning of 2024, Yen Thanh district has invested in upgrading this route.

Despite the steep and difficult terrain, the unit is actively weathering the road surface and implementing the next steps. Currently, the construction unit has weathered over 100% of the road, and has constructed 3 km of asphalt. According to the plan, this road will be put into use at the end of 2025.

Currently, Yen Thanh district is also implementing the construction of an inner-city road of Yen Thanh town, nearly 1 km long, both facilitating travel and creating a highlight for the face of Yen Thanh town. Up to now, the road under construction has reached over 35% progress, expected to be put into use in 2025.

The representative of Yen Thanh District People's Committee added: The projects to upgrade National Highway 7B and the Ru Gam ecological tourism belt road have been put into use, promoting good efficiency, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the district. For the remaining projects, the district urged the construction unit to speed up the progress to ensure that the plan set out in 2025 will be put into synchronous use./.
