About 100 Afghan soldiers missing after Taliban attack

Taliban terrorists have taken over the Bilchirag area in the southern Afghan province of Faryab. After the attacks on the area, Afghan government forces suffered many casualties. In particular, there is currently no information about nearly 100 Afghan soldiers, Sputnik quoted Tolo News.

Sputnik reported that Taliban militants seized a military base in the northwestern province of Faryab.

According to local media, at least 17 soldiers were killed and 12 others were wounded in the attack by the Afghan army last week. The head of the local council, Faryab Sabgatullah Silab Muavin, said the fate of nearly 100 other soldiers at the base was still unknown.

For many months in Afghanistan, the confrontation between government forces and Taliban gunmen has continued.
