Despite facing much criticism, for the American mother, breastfeeding her two daughters, aged three and one, helps them feel nourished and connected.

Chelsea Craig of Corpus Christi, Texas, has two daughters, Addilynn and Emilynn. Both are currently breastfeeding."Every time someone finds out I'm breastfeeding, they're surprised because the kids are so grown up. Usually, they pretend they misheard and think I'm just breastfeeding the baby. When they find out they're both breastfeeding, they look at me like I'm crazy," Chelsea said. |

According to Chelsea, becoming a mother helped her realize that breastfeeding is a journey. "Some days it's so hard that I want to give up, but sometimes it's so wonderful. Breastfeeding allows me to spend time with my two princesses," Chelsea said. |

Chelsea didn't plan on breastfeeding both of her children, but ended up doing so because it gave her time with them. Chelsea asked mother-child photographer Mae Burke to capture beautiful moments of her breastfeeding and the three of them playing on the beach. "It's how they feel nourished and connected. I don't breastfeed to prove anything. I breastfeed for them," Chelsea said, Kidspot quoted Chelsea as saying. |

"I share these pictures for the simple truth that they are normal things in my life as a mother and my children. The moments are not always pretty. My hair is not always down to my shoulders and my children are sometimes naked but this is what looks most like us," Chelsea said. |
