Groundbreaking ceremony of 360 billion VND confectionery factory in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Hai Chau II Confectionery Factory - Nghe An has a total investment of 360 billion VND and is expected to come into operation from the beginning of 2018.
On the morning of October 21, in Quynh Loc commune, Hoang Mai town, Hai Chau Confectionery Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony of Hai Chau II Confectionery Factory - Nghe An in Dong Hoi Industrial Park.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Vuong Dinh Hue - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen The Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, and Hoang Mai town. On the investor side, there was Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi - Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Sugarcane Corporation 1; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Chau Confectionery Joint Stock Company. |
Hai Chau II Confectionery Factory has a total investment of 360 billion VND. The total capacity of 10 confectionery and beverage production lines reaches 75,000 tons/year with modern production technology from European and Asian countries.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi said that the company organized construction, installation, operation and gradually put 10 production lines into operation from January to December 2018.
Products are consumed through 80 thousand agents nationwide, 13 large supermarkets in Hanoi, 19 large supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City and supermarkets in Da Nang, Vinh City, Hai Phong; at the same time, products are exported to the region and the world through a system of large wholesale supermarkets and online commerce globally.

When operating stably, exploiting 100% of the designed capacity, the factory will achieve a total revenue of about 1,700 billion/year; creating jobs for 520 workers with an average income of 4.5 - 10 million VND/person/month.
The factory also contributes to the consumption of agricultural products such as sugar, salt, rice, pepper, eggs, etc.; and contributes to the state budget through value added tax and corporate income tax.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong assessed that the Hai Chau II Confectionery Factory project - Nghe An will contribute to promoting the development of services and trade in the locality and neighboring areas; increase budget revenue, and contribute to shifting the economic structure of the province towards industry - services as set out in the spirit of Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

“After the groundbreaking ceremony, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town to continue to pay attention and create the most favorable conditions, promptly resolve procedures and handle problems for investors so that the project can be completed on schedule” – Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested: "Hai Chau Confectionery Joint Stock Company coordinates well with relevant departments and branches in implementing the project, ensuring security and order and giving priority to recruiting local children to work for the factory."
Next, the leaders of the Central Government, the province, Hoang Mai town and the investor pressed the button to break ground on the factory.

On this occasion, Hai Chau Confectionery Joint Stock Company donated 50,000 million VND to the Hoang Mai Town Poor Fund and 100,000 million VND to the Town's Education Promotion Fund.
