Construction of the 'Comradely Love' house started in Thanh Chuong district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 23, the Nghe An Province Veterans Association organized activities to help members and children of poor veterans in difficult circumstances in Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district.

Mr. Le Hai Ly (born in 1946), in Phuong Thao hamlet, Thanh Xuan commune (Thanh Chuong), enlisted in April 1968 and was discharged in October 1975. In December 1990, he registered to join and became a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Due to difficult family circumstances, the house where veteran Le Hai Ly's family lives is now seriously degraded, the roof is not enough to protect against rain and sun, making daily activities unsafe.
In order to show gratitude and help poor members in difficult circumstances, on this occasion, the Veterans Association of Nghe An province supported 50 million VND to build a "Comradely Love" house for member Le Hai Ly, with the hope that his family will soon have a solid house and a stable life.

Also on this occasion, the Provincial Veterans Association presented 2 breeding cows to 2 veteran members, Nguyen Cong Hoe in Bach Ngoc hamlet and Chu Dinh Minh in Kim Son hamlet, for economic development; presented gifts to 20 poor students who have overcome difficulties, who are children and grandchildren of veteran members; at the same time, created conditions for loans and created jobs for 2 members; The total budget to support and help veteran members of Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district is 80 million VND.

It is known that in 2023, the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association called on and mobilized agencies, units, businesses, and benefactors to help build 28 "Comradely Love" houses for veteran members in difficult circumstances in the province. In particular, responding to the call of the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association donated 153 million VND to help build houses for poor households in Dien Bien province, towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
The activities of the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association have practical significance, demonstrating the sentiments of veterans helping each other to have solid housing, work with peace of mind, improve their lives; and actively contribute to the activities of the local Veterans Association./.
