In his closing speech at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that for many years, not only those working in cultural management, artists, but also a large number of cadres, party members, and people have been looking forward to this conference to re-evaluate the role of culture, look directly at the truth, and correctly assess what has been achieved in recent years, but especially look directly at the shortcomings and shortcomings to unify awareness, viewpoints, and actions to revive culture as in the speech of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
“Revitalization is not about doing something differently. Revival is about making it brighter and more developed,” the Deputy Prime Minister said, hoping that after this conference, not only those working in cultural affairs but also the whole society, all Vietnamese people, no matter what they do, where they are, what ethnicity they are, what religion they believe in, whether they are in the country or abroad, will be inspired, have responsibility and have faith to make our country’s culture develop more brilliantly, so that our country can develop faster and more sustainably.

The Deputy Prime Minister also hopes that the spirit will not only be in the atmosphere of today's conference, or a few days after the conference, but will be regularly mentioned and updated from now on.
Emphasizing that culture has many contents and many things to do continuously, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam shared a few suggestive contents to implement the Cultural Development Strategy to 2030, first of all, it is extremely important to thoroughly understand the role of culture, as the General Secretary directed the conference: "If culture exists, the nation exists".
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the past, the concept of sustainable development included not sacrificing the environment and paying attention to social equity; but now the concept of sustainable development is seen to include the environment, culture and society.
“If the country only focuses on the economy and does not pay attention to the environment, it may take decades to overcome environmental problems. But further, if it pays attention to the environment but does not pay attention to culture and society, it will take many generations to overcome them,” the Deputy Prime Minister analyzed.

On the other hand, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, we should not forget the achievements of the past decades, of the past term, and of the past year because of the shortcomings, but we also need to be open-minded and acknowledge the shortcomings and shortcomings in order to have convincing solutions to revive culture.
The cultural development strategy to 2030 has established very clear viewpoints, goals, and assigned projects. According to comrade Vu Duc Dam, when implementing this strategy, it is necessary to contribute to arousing aspirations, urging and creating impulses to promote the full strength and creativity of the entire population to develop faster and more sustainably to prevent falling behind.
Along with that, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the important role of integration to absorb human civilization without losing the roots; at the same time, on the one hand, we must fight against hybridization, on the other hand, there are many habits that can be called inappropriate cultural expressions that need to be receptive and boldly changed.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that there must be an environment that encourages creativity and innovation, not only for artists but for all people and society; respecting differences, even differences, as long as the differences do not go against the interests of the nation and the country. Because once an environment is created for all human talents, whether artists or farmers, to be promoted and new things are honored, then we will certainly move faster and do things that cannot be done under normal conditions.
“When talking about culture, we are talking about people. When talking about people, we must first talk about education. Therefore, we must work together to fundamentally and comprehensively reform education in a very receptive and persistent spirit,” Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam noted the role of building and developing Vietnamese people in the process of cultural revival.

Along with that, it is necessary to build and promote a culture of setting an example not only among cadres and party members but also among the people. “Heaven has four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Earth has directions: East, West, South, North; people have four virtues: Diligence, Thrift, Integrity, and Uprightness. Without one season, the sky cannot be made; without one direction, the earth cannot be made; without one virtue, the person cannot be made,” the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated President Ho Chi Minh’s advice.
Regarding exemplary behavior, in addition to setting an example from top to bottom in the entire Party, comrade Vu Duc Dam suggested that for cadres working in cultural work, although no one is perfect, they should strive to set an example from the inside out, becoming cultural role models.

The Deputy Prime Minister also hopes that all levels and sectors, through very specific actions, will pay more attention to culture, devote more time and resources to culture; listen to the opinions of cultural researchers and experienced people working directly on culture before making their decisions, even if the decision is not directly about culture, because culture is always expressed in all areas of life and is included in all decisions of leaders at all levels.
He also suggested that all cultural and artistic organizations, together with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, after this conference, have many practical and solid activities and programs, step by step.
“I hope that all of us will spread the spirit and promote the traditional values of the Vietnamese people. We are humble, but we must also foster a spirit of national pride and self-respect, and we believe that we can build a prosperous and developed country for the happiness of the people, and that Vietnamese culture will shine and blend into the flow of human civilization,” the Deputy Prime Minister advised.
