Harnessing resources from the great solidarity bloc

(Baonghean) - The Resolution of the 20th Do Luong District Party Congress, term 2015-2020, sets the goal of the district meeting new rural standards by 2020. To achieve that success, one of the important factors is the consensus from the local Party Committee, government to each person and the good mobilization of social resources in building new rural areas.

Once known as the commune at the back of the district's movements, entering the new rural construction, Hien Son commune has only met the criteria of 11/19, the poverty rate is still high (over 9%); the rate of cultural houses meeting standards is still low. Meanwhile, the large area with 20 km of inter-village roads and 40 km of intra-village roads needs to be invested in construction. In difficult conditions, the Party Committee of Hien Son commune determined to mobilize socialization, promote internal resources among the people, especially investing in welfare works.

Accordingly, the Commune Party Committee issued a specialized Resolution on leadership in mobilizing people's internal resources in building new rural areas. In order for people to understand and have a correct perception of socialization work, the Commune Party Committee and People's Committee directed local departments, branches and organizations to coordinate with Party cells and villages to organize meetings and disseminate information to the people, emphasizing the tasks and construction items that require the cooperation and contribution of the whole society.

Many hamlets have mobilized people, businesses, and commune children to contribute. For example, in Hoa Thien hamlet, the old cultural house did not have enough seats, so in 2016, the hamlet party cell mobilized people to contribute 230 million VND to renovate, expand, and invest in equipment in the hamlet cultural house.

Then, in 2017, the hamlet continued to mobilize people to contribute to building a campus and fence with an area of ​​over 1,000 m2 at a cost of 280 million VND. Up to now, the hamlet has invested synchronously so that people have places for entertainment, physical training and sports, creating connections between people in the hamlet.

In particular, thanks to "skillful" propaganda and mobilization, the people in the hamlet agreed, 32/32 affected households voluntarily donated more than 600 square meters of land and 700 meters of fence, expanding the inter-commune road according to new criteria.

In Quang Son commune, in addition to mobilizing people to do well the socialization movement to build new rural areas, the Party Committee, the commune government and Do Luong district mobilize children of entrepreneurs far from home to invest in their hometown. One of the projects that the district is focusing on implementing in Quang Son is the Minh Anh Garment Factory Project with the largest scale in the North Central region. Currently, the factory is providing free vocational training for more than 600 workers. From here, it will produce diverse garment products, serving domestically and exporting to the US and European markets...

The factory, when put into operation, will create jobs for 6,000 - 7,000 workers not only in Do Luong district but also in neighboring districts such as Yen Thanh, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong. At the same time, it will be a driving force for socio-economic development for communes in the region.

One of the profound lessons learned from the socialization movement to build new rural areas in Do Luong is to value and maximize the internal strength and resources of the whole society, especially the internal strength of the people and businesses.

In the first months of 2017, the total mobilized resources of Do Luong district reached 109,365 million VND, of which people contributed 20,548 million VND in cash to repair and upgrade 18.4 km of rural roads, 36.5 km of intra-field roads; repair 32 cultural houses in hamlets; mobilized 6,400 working days to build new rural areas; people donated 7,168 m2 of land to build new rural areas.
