Filming begins for the movie "Sacred Origins" in President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.

(Baonghean.vn) -On August 18th, in Kim Lien (Nam Dan), the film crew of Vietnam Feature Film Studio officially began shooting the first scenes of the feature film "Sacred Origins".

This film is in response to the "Studying and Following the Moral Example of Ho Chi Minh" campaign of the Vietnamese film industry. The film will revive the image of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan (Ho Chi Minh's mother) from her youth, her marriage to Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac, her childbirth and raising of children, her service to her husband, until her death in Hue (1880-1901).



Child actors play Uncle Ho and his relatives during his childhood.



The directors work with the characters on set in Kim Lien.

The script, written by authors Doan Le and Hoang Chinh, began in 2010 and has now officially begun filming, directed by three directors: Doan Le, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, and Nguyen Dang Khoa; and produced by Le Hong Son. Some supporting roles and child actors will be cast locally. The film is expected to consist of 7 episodes, filmed in Nghe An and Hue over two months, and will be screened on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday in 2014.

The film crew will soon be holding a press conference to introduce the film in Vinh City.
