1 cement factory employee prosecuted in incident that killed 7 people
Authorities have just prosecuted Tran Manh Hung, a material weighing employee at Yen Bai Cement Factory, for "violating labor safety regulations".
On the evening of April 23, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee provided information about this matter.
The provincial police have directed professional units to focus their forces to coordinate with many agencies and departments to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the particularly serious work accident that occurred on April 22 at the cement factory of Yen Bai Cement and Minerals Joint Stock Company.

Based on the results of the initial investigation and verification and the collected documents and evidence, on April 23, the Yen Bai Provincial Police Investigation Agency decided tocriminal prosecution"violating regulations on labor safety", decision to prosecute the accused, arrest warrant for temporary detention against Tran Manh Hung (born in 1980, residing in group 8, Yen Thinh ward, Yen Bai city, Yen Bai province), a material weighing employee of Yen Bai Cement Factory, for the crime of "violating regulations on labor safety", stipulated in Clause 3, Article 295 of the 2015 Penal Code.

After the Yen Bai Provincial People's Procuracy approved, the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department's Investigation Police Agency executed the above decisions and prosecution orders in accordance with the provisions of law.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Bai Province is actively investigating and expanding the case, clarifying all criminal acts of the accused Tran Manh Hung as well as violations of related individuals and organizations to strictly handle them in accordance with the provisions of the law.
