Prosecuted 2 motorbike thieves, threw petrol bombs at police
Huy and Huu barricaded themselves in the room, turned on loud music to challenge the police, threw petrol bombs at the police, then drove a motorbike to escape.
Bac Ninh Provincial Police said they have issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Nguyen Quang Huy (26 years old) and Duong Ngoc Huu (25 years old), both residing in Bac Giang ward, Bac Ninh province, to investigate the crime of property theft andresisting law enforcement.
Previously, Vo Cuong Ward Police and Tien Du Commune Police (Bac Ninh) discovered that Huy and Huu were involved in a motorbike theft in Vo Cuong Ward.
Determining that the subjects were staying in Due Khanh village, Tien Du commune, the police inspected the two subjects' rented rooms.
However, Huy and Huu did not cooperate, closed the door, barricaded themselves and turned on loud music to challenge the police force.
In addition, Huy and Huu used a gasoline bottle and a piece of cloth soaked in gasoline to light a fire and throw it at the task force. At the same time, the subjects carried knives, scissors, pepper spray and drove a motorbike out of the rented room to escape.
The task force quickly controlled and arrested the subjects, confiscating 2 motorbikes, including 1 Honda Dream motorbike which was evidence in the theft on August 11 and related evidence. After a quick test, both subjects tested positive for drugs.
Police said Huy and Huu both have three previous convictions for robbery and theft.
Currently, Bac Ninh Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
