Prosecuted 2 gambling cases

(Baonghean.vn) -On July 20, the Thai Hoa Town Police Investigation Agency announced that it had just initiated two cases to investigate and clarify the subjects involved in the gambling case that occurred in the town.

Previously, at 11pm on July 14, 2013, Thai Hoa Town Police received a report that at Ha Thanh Dong Coffee Shop (Forestry Processing Block, Quang Phong Ward), a number of people were organizing gambling. Immediately, the Town Police leaders assigned a working group to the scene to verify. Here, the working group suddenly raided and caught 4 "gamblers" red-handed gambling in the form of Tien Len.

The subjects include: Pham Viet Han (born in 1982), CBLS block 1, Quang Phong ward; Dang Van Loi (born in 1978), CBLS block 2, Quang Phong ward; Dau Manh Cuong (born in 1985), CBLS block 3, all residing in Quang Phong ward, Thai Hoa town and Phan Thanh Tuan (born in 1980), residing in block 1, Cua Nam ward - Vinh city. The seized evidence at the gambling table was 3.5 million VND, 1 deck of cards. During the inspection, the police agency also collected 3.8 million VND, 3 motorbikes, 4 cell phones and some other evidence from the subjects.

Objects and exhibits

The day before (July 13), at 10 p.m., the Criminal Police Department on Social Order, Thai Hoa Town Police caught 4 subjects red-handed organizing gambling in the form of playing cards at the house of Dao Van Thanh (born 1969), Dong Quang hamlet, Dong Hieu commune. The subjects include: Dao Van Danh (born 1969), Le Van Chinh (born 1979), both residing in Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan; Phan Van Sang (born 1979), Nghia Khanh commune, Nghia Dan and Pham Hong Thai (born 1964), Nghia My commune, Nghia Dan. The seized items on the gambling mat included 44,800,000 VND, 8 mobile phones and 3 motorbikes.

Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate.
