Two gambling cases prosecuted.
(Baonghean.vn) -On July 20th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Thai Hoa Town Police announced that it had initiated legal proceedings in two cases to investigate and clarify the individuals involved in a gambling case that occurred in the town.
Earlier, at 11 PM on July 14, 2013, the Thai Hoa Town Police received a report that several individuals were gambling at the Ha Thanh Dong coffee shop (in the Forestry Products Processing Block, Quang Phong Ward). Immediately, the town police leadership assigned a task force to the scene to investigate. There, the task force unexpectedly raided the premises and caught four gamblers red-handed playing the card game "Tien Len".
The suspects include: Pham Viet Han (born 1982), residing in Block 1, Quang Phong Ward; Dang Van Loi (born 1978), residing in Block 2, Quang Phong Ward; Dau Manh Cuong (born 1985), residing in Block 3, all residing in Quang Phong Ward, Thai Hoa Town; and Phan Thanh Tuan (born 1980), residing in Block 1, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City. The seized items included 3.5 million VND in cash and one deck of cards. Further investigation by the police resulted in the seizure of an additional 3.8 million VND, three motorbikes, four mobile phones, and other evidence from the suspects.


The suspects and evidence
The previous day (July 13th), at 10 PM, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Public Security Bureau of Thai Hoa Town caught four individuals red-handed gambling using the card game "lieng" at the house of Mr. Dao Van Thanh (born in 1969), Dong Quang hamlet, Dong Hieu commune. The suspects included: Dao Van Danh (born in 1969), Le Van Chinh (born in 1979), both residing in Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district; Phan Van Sang (born in 1979), residing in Nghia Khanh commune, Nghia Dan district; and Pham Hong Thai (born in 1964), residing in Nghia My commune, Nghia Dan district. Items seized from the gambling table included 44,800,000 VND, 8 mobile phones, and 3 motorbikes.
Authorities are currently continuing their investigation.
