Prosecuted 4 subjects who committed 20 robberies of women's property in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Discovering women walking on the street leaving their phones and handbags exposed, these subjects approached and quickly snatched their property.
Vinh City Police said that the Investigation Police Agency has just prosecuted and detained Nguyen Hoang Anh (born in 1994), residing in Bac Hai block, Nghi Hoa ward (Cua Lo town) and Le The Danh (born in 1994), residing in Hai Giang 2 block, Nghi Hai ward (Cua Lo town) to investigate and clarify the act of "Robbery". Nguyen Hoang Anh was also prosecuted for the act of "Illegal possession of narcotics".
Hoang Anh and The Danh are both drug addicts and have previous convictions for "Robbery".

At the police station, the two subjects initially confessed to having committed 16 robberies of pedestrians in Vinh City in the recent past. The total value of the stolen property was over 80 million VND, mainly mobile phones.
After robbing the property, Danh and Anh brought it to sell to a person residing in Phuc Tho commune, Nghi Loc district, who is the owner of a phone store in Vinh city.
Previously, Vinh City Police received reports from many victims that while they were walking on the street, two young men on a motorbike approached them and snatched their phones. The total number of incidents reported by the victims was more than 30. Vinh City Police established Project 220G to fight and capture the subjects.
On March 1, in Ha Huy Tap ward (Vinh city), when Hoang Anh and The Danh had just changed their license plate number to fake and were about to commit a robbery, they were arrested by the police. The police also caught Nguyen Hoang Anh red-handed in the act of "Illegal possession of drugs".

Expanding the investigation of Project 220G, on March 6, the Investigation Team arrested Nguyen Trong Thuan (born in 1997), residing in Block 8, Doi Cung Ward (Vinh City) for the crime of "Robbery". Thuan confessed to having committed a robbery of a woman's handbag in Vinh City.
On March 8, the Special Task Force continued to arrest Nguyen Huu Tho (born in 1981), residing in Block 3, Trung Do Ward (Vinh City) for the crime of "Robbery". Tho has 10 previous convictions for "Theft of property". Through investigation, Tho confessed to committing 3 cases of handbag snatching.
Thuan and Tho were later also prosecuted to investigate the crime of "Robbery".
Up to now, the 220G Task Force has determined that these 4 subjects have committed 20 robberies, confiscating 20 mobile phones of various types, 2 handbags, and 3 motorbikes as the means used to commit the crimes. The task force is currently continuing to fight and expand.
