Prosecution and temporary detention of 2 leaders of Phu Bai International Airport
Regarding the case of embezzlement of assets from creating a taxi "monopoly" at Phu Bai International Airport, the security investigation agency has just issued a decision to prosecute additional defendants and temporarily detain two leaders of Phu Bai International Airport.
Specifically: Mr. Do Chi Thanh (born in 1962, residing at Group 10, Phu Bai Ward, Huong Thuy Town) and Mr. Le Van Loc (born in 1967, residing at 380 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Hue City), Director and Deputy Director of Phu Bai International Airport were arrested for the crime of "Embezzlement of property", according to Article 353 of the Penal Code. The above decisions have been approved by the People's Procuracy at the same level.
Previously, Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Tran Xuan Long (born in 1978, in Huong Thuy town), currently Chief of Office of Phu Bai International Airport, for embezzlement.

According to Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police, from October 2017 to January 2021, Do Chi Thanh, Le Van Loc and Tran Xuan Long took advantage of their positions and powers to repeatedly appropriate public assets through the concession of passenger transport services by taxi at Phu Bai International Airport to Phu Hoang Thinh Joint Stock Company (Taxi Vang) and TC Hue Taxi Joint Stock Company (Taxi Thanh Cong), with a total amount of more than 5 billion VND.
The fact that Phu Bai International Airport "favors" two passenger transport units by taxi to pick up passengers inside the airport has created many inconveniences for passengers in choosing taxi services to travel at this airport.
Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police are continuing to investigate to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
