(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 7th, information from the Yen Thanh District Police indicated that the district's investigative agency had initiated a criminal case, indicted the suspect, and detained Nguyen Huu Khinh (born in 1964, residing in Son Thanh, Yen Thanh) for 4 months for investigation into the act of murdering his wife.

Mr. Khinh has been identified as the suspect in the murder of his wife, Ms. Tran Thi Du (born in 1970), on the evening of September 2nd. Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 5 PM on September 2nd, family members discovered Ms. Tran Thi Du dead in front of her parents' bathroom with multiple stab wounds.

The Yen Thanh District Police Investigation Agency arrived to investigate the incident and apprehend the perpetrator. At approximately 9:15 PM on the same day, law enforcement officers arrested Nguyen Huu Khinh while he was attempting to flee.

The suspect is Nguyen Huu Khinh.

The initial cause of the murder has been determined to be Mr. Khinh's jealousy, which led Ms. Du to leave and return to her parents' home and file for divorce. On the afternoon of September 2nd, Mr. Khinh begged his wife to return home, but Ms. Du refused, leading to an argument. Mr. Khinh then struck Ms. Du on the head with a wooden pestle and stabbed her multiple times with a knife, causing her death on the spot.

The suspect Nguyen Huu Khinh and the case file have now been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police for investigation according to their jurisdiction.
