Prosecution and temporary detention of the owner of a mini apartment building in Thanh Xuan
Up to now, authorities have identified 56 people dead and 37 injured in the mini apartment fire, of which 39/56 dead people have been identified.
Regarding the fire that occurred at No. 37, Alley 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, on September 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police issued a Decision to prosecute the case and an Arrest Warrant to temporarily detain (4 months) Nghiem Quang Minh (born in 1979; currently residing in Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi, owner of the apartment building where the fire occurred), for the crime of Violating regulations on fire prevention and fighting according to Article 313 of the Penal Code.
The decisions and arrest warrants have been approved by the City People's Procuracy.

Currently, the Director of the City Police is directing the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency to continue to urgently investigate and strictly handle the case according to the provisions of law and actively coordinate with the departments and branches of Hanoi City and the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan District to visit, encourage and support the victims' families.
