Prosecution of subjects stealing property from temples and pagodas

The Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute two suspects in the theft of property from temples and pagodas in Yen Thanh district (old).

On November 13, Quan Thanh Commune Police said, Through the work of grasping the situation, it was discovered that recently, in the communes (belonging to the old Yen Thanh district), a number of cases occurred.theft of property, donations from temples and pagodas. Faced with that situation, the Commune Police stepped in to verify, review, investigate, and clarify in order to arrest the criminals.

At 11:00 p.m. on October 29, Quan Thanh Commune Police coordinated with An Chau Commune Police to successfully arrest two subjects: Bui Dinh Huy (born 2007) and Phan Viet Thong (born 2008), both residing in Quan Thanh Commune, for theft of property.

At the investigation agency, the two subjects confessed that from September 2025 to October 2025, they committed 8 thefts at temples and pagodas in the communes of Hop Minh, Hai Loc, Quan Thanh, Van Du, and Giai Lac (Nghe An).

Initially, the police proved that the amount of money stolen was nearly 34 million VND. The subjects divided the money and spent it for personal use. Evidence collected: 02 mobile phones, 01 iron bar, 01 knife and other items used by the subjects to commit crimes.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police has decided to prosecute the case and prosecute the two suspects above for the crime of "Theft of property".
