Prosecution initiated against individuals for stealing property from temples and pagodas.
The Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police has just issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and indict two suspects in cases of theft of property from temples and pagodas in the former Yen Thanh district.
On November 13th, the Quan Thanh commune police announced that Through intelligence gathering, it has been discovered that in recent times, several incidents have occurred in the communes (formerly part of Yen Thanh district).theft of propertyincluding donations from temples and pagodas. In response to this situation, the commune police launched an investigation to verify the facts and apprehend the perpetrators.

At 11 PM on October 29th, the Quan Thanh Commune Police, in coordination with the An Chau Commune Police, successfully arrested two suspects: Bui Dinh Huy (born in 2007) and Phan Viet Thong (born in 2008), both residing in Quan Thanh Commune, for the crime of theft.
At the investigative agency, the two suspects confessed that from September to October 2025, they had committed 8 thefts at temples and pagodas in the communes of Hop Minh, Hai Loc, Quan Thanh, Van Du, and Giai Lac (Nghe An province).
Initially, the police agency proved that the stolen amount was nearly 34 million VND. The suspects divided the money among themselves and spent it on personal expenses. The seized items included: 2 mobile phones, 1 iron bar, 1 knife, and other tools used by the suspects to commit the crime.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police has issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute the two suspects for the crime of "theft of property".
