Prosecution of 17-year-old subject who created fake Facebook account, went online to buy goods to produce and sell firecrackers
Phan Minh Quang often goes online to buy raw materials to produce fireworks, and after the finished products are exchanged and sold with strangers to make a profit.
The Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Phan Minh Quang (born 2008, residing in Kim Bang commune, Nghe An) for the crime ofproduction and trade of prohibited goods.
Accordingly, through the work of grasping the situation and reviewing groups on cyberspace, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a Facebook account named "Hung Van" with signs of suspicion of manufacturing and storing homemade fireworks.
Conducting verification and collecting evidence, the authorities identified the above social network account as belonging to Phan Minh Quang (born 2008, residing in Kim Bang commune, Nghe An). On July 12, 2025, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police presided over and coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency and Kim Bang Commune Police to arrest Phan Minh Quang while he was transporting firecrackers.
At the scene, 02 boxes of explosive fireworks, 94 firecrackers and 51 homemade firecrackers were seized. During a search of the suspect's residence, the authorities seized a number of tools for manufacturing homemade firecrackers.
At the investigation agency, Phan Minh Quang confessed that he often went on social networks to buy raw materials to produce fireworks, and after the finished products, he exchanged and sold them with strangers to make a profit.
Currently, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police has initiated a case and prosecuted Phan Minh Quang for the crime of "Producing and trading in prohibited goods".
