Prosecution of the subject who cut off his neighbor's finger

(Baonghean.vn) - Just because of a small conflict, Le Van Linh (born in 1984), residing in Hamlet 20, Quynh Van Commune, Quynh Luu District, suddenly picked up a knife and seriously injured his neighbor's father and son. The victims were Nguyen Dinh Dung (born in 1976) and his son Nguyen Dinh Ngoc (born in 1998), residing in the same hamlet.

On the morning of April 12, the Quynh Luu District Police Department announced that it had decided to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant Le Van Linh, residing in Hamlet 20, Quynh Van Commune, for intentionally causing injury.

According to the testimony of some witnesses, at around 10am on February 8, when Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dung was working outside the alley, he saw Linh carrying a knife to cause trouble. Thinking that Mr. Dung and his wife intentionally blocked the water pipe to irrigate their vegetables (Linh's family had been using the water pipe installed on Mr. Dung's land for more than 3 years since the incident - PV), Linh cursed and threatened his neighbors with a knife.

While the two sides were arguing, Nguyen Dinh Ngoc, Mr. Dung's son, came back from repairing a motorbike and intervened. Linh used a knife to repeatedly slash Ngoc, causing 3 fingers on his right hand to be severed and many deep cuts on his left arm. Seeing his son being chased and slashed by neighbors, Mr. Dung shouted for help, but Linh and some other people continued to throw a clamshell at his head, causing him to bleed.

After 2 months of treatment at Nghe An Orthopedic Trauma Hospital, Ngoc's health has gradually stabilized. The medical team has successfully reattached 2/3 of Ngoc's fingers, 1 finger is permanently lost, and the bone injuries on her left arm are being monitored for recovery. According to the assessment results, Ngoc's health loss rate after the incident is 15%.

During the investigation, the police also identified a number of subjects who are Linh's relatives involved in the case, including Le Van Lap (born in 1970), who threw rocks at Mr. Dung and his nephew Ngoc; Nguyen Thi Than (born in 1980), who used provocative words to incite Linh to slash Mr. Dung's son. Currently, the Quynh Luu police are continuing to expand the investigation of the case against these related subjects.
