(Baonghean.vn) - The Criminal Investigation Agency of Tan Ky District Police (Nghe An) has just prosecuted Chu Thi Que (born in 1963), residing in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, for the crime of usury in the area with interest rates nine times higher than the legal limit.

Initially, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Tan Ky District Police proved that Que had lent money to many people in Tan Ky district through mortgage and unsecured loans with interest rates nine times higher than the legal limit. Working with seven victims, it was determined that the amount of illicit profit the suspect obtained was over 300 million VND.

After a period of coordinated implementation of professional measures, the Tan Ky District Police successfully cracked the case of "usurious lending in civil transactions," arresting Chu Thi Que and seizing 42 million VND in cash, 4 notebooks, 1 motorbike, and many other related documents.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and expanded by the Tan Ky District Police.
