The police have just prosecuted and temporarily detained a subject who broke a car window and stole more than 600 million VND from a 74-year-old man.
On November 5, Dak Lak Provincial Police announced that the unit had issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Pham The Uyen (39 years old, residing in Tan Hiep Commune, Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the act of breaking a car window to steal more than 600 million VND.

According to initial investigation results, on the morning of April 4, Pham The Uyen drove a motorbike near a bank at the intersection of Tran Hung Dao - Le Thanh Tong (Buon Ma Thuot City) to watch people withdraw money from the bank to find an opportunity to steal.
At around 10:20 a.m. the same day, Uyen discovered Mr. D.'s car (74 years old, residing in Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province) leaving the bank and followed it.
When he arrived at a hair salon on Le Thanh Tong Street, Mr. D. parked his car on the street and went in to get a haircut.
At this time, Uyen quickly approached the car, broke the window, stole 630 million VND, then got on a motorbike and escaped.
During the escape, Uyen traveled on National Highway 27 towards Lam Dong province and continuously changed her identification.
When arriving at Dak Nue Pass (Lak District, Dak Lak Province), Uyen left her motorbike in a deserted field and took a bus to Lam Dong Province and then back to Ho Chi Minh City.
After a period of active investigation, Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and Buon Ma Thuot City Police to successfully arrest Pham The Uyen.
It is known that Pham The Uyen had 3 previous convictions for "Theft of property".
