Man charged with murder stemming from an invitation to drink alcohol.

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Phan Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Head of the Hung Nguyen District Police (Nghe An), said that today, March 8th, the unit has initiated a criminal case and prosecuted and temporarily detained Le Chi Ha (born in 1980), residing in Hung Long commune, Hung Nguyen district, for the crime of murder.

According to the investigation, on the night of February 27th, Le Chi Ha and Nguyen Quoc Thanh (born in 1969), both residing in Hung Long commune, attended the wedding of the daughter of Mr. Nguyen Van Quynh, also residing in the same commune. At the wedding, Nguyen Quoc Thanh poured a glass of wine and offered it to Le Chi Ha, but Ha refused. An argument ensued, and Thanh punched Ha several times in the face.

Enraged by the attack, Le Chi Ha returned home, grabbed a knife about 25 cm long, and went back to the wedding to repeatedly attack Nguyen Quoc Thanh. As a result, Thanh was stabbed six times. Although he was taken to a hospital in Hanoi for treatment, he died on March 1st. The forensic report concluded that Thanh died from a severed aorta.

The perpetrator, Le Chi Ha, was arrested on the night of the crime. It is known that Ha works at a media company in Hanoi and committed the murder while on his way home for Tet (Lunar New Year).
